Hope Ezra Mukwinda
Hope Ezra Mukwinda is a clinical medicine professional and final-year law student from Zambia, passionate about integrating health, law, and governance for sustainable development. As the founder of Mukwi Health Care Limited, Hope has launched initiatives to expand healthcare access for grassroots and hard-to-reach communities. Her work as Assistant Director at the Visionary Students Initiative includes mentoring students in mental health, community service, and volunteerism, impacting learners across more than 50 secondary schools.
Hope is a certified mental health mentor, trainer of trainers, and member of the National Mental Health Technical Working Group, where she uses her dual expertise in clinical medicine and law to advocate for policy change and mental health awareness. She has led sensitisation sessions on child labor and children’s rights in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. She has contributed to national policy discussions on inclusive governance and youth participation.
An alumna of the Political Party Leadership Institute, Hope has been recognised for her leadership with a nomination for the 2024 Haven’s Properties Youth Empowerment Awards. As a published author, public speaker, and events moderator, she leverages her platform to inspire action and drive transformative leadership.
On the Youth Advisory Board, Hope uses her interdisciplinary background and advocacy skills to advance the goals of the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective, supporting youth-led initiatives for health, justice, and governance.
